About

Keeley is a design consultant, designer, maker, and university lecturer who had worked in the ceramic industry for 25 years before setting up her own consultancy.
Keeley continues to design tableware and homewares for international clients and retail brands alongside creating her own collections.
Keeley launched her collection of 3D printed vessels in 2021 which she designs and prints from her studio in Staffordshire. Each design begins with a pencil sketch followed by a digitally crafted 3D file which is then printed using the Fused Deposition Modelling method.
Keeley’s aesthetic is inspired by her love for mid-century design blended with classic silhouettes and geometry found in nature. Forms are ribbed, faceted, and fluted, and have tactile surface finishes. Keeley enjoys creating playful colour groups which range from joyful brights through to calmer Scandinavian neutrals.
This new collection launched at Future Icons Selects explores connectivity through material, colour, form, and texture.
Sustainability is at the core of Keeley’s practice with all 3d printing materials being made from renewable resources and all packaging being recyclable. Keeley prints in Polylactic Acid (PLA) or “Corn Plastic” which is a plant based, plastic-like material derived from renewable resources such as corn starch and sugar cane, the materials are commercially compostable.
Keeley has recently collaborated with a furniture maker and a jewellery designer to explore the contrast between materials, their perception, and their unexpected use.
