About

Liz Willis is a jeweller based in Hertfordshire; she uses textile techniques to combine silver and found objects to make little pieces of wearable history.
She uses silver and hand stitched silk threads to add layers of colour and texture to her work, and work with found objects collected from beachcombing, metal detecting and mudlarking.
Liz particularly likes those everyday objects, such as pins and nails, that have been made by the hands of past generations and show signs of a previous life and use in their shape, erosion or patina. They are worked on by her hands to give them a new chapter in their own history.
