About

Over 27 years, Spanish-born artist Maria Zulueta has been mastering glass processes, particularly in kiln formed glass techniques as both an artist and teacher.

Currently, she is the senior lecturer at Morley College London, coordinating glass qualifications, Masters courses and specialist workshops.

Her work speaks on the notion of beauty while addressing both vulnerability and strength through natures’ transformation, transience, and fragility. Meanwhile, a strong focus on ecological concerns influences her methodology while working with this creative medium.
Maria has been awarded Best in Show and the Glass Prize @ Victoria & Albert Museum and has exhibited internationally in Museums and galleries including MAVA in Spain, the Mall gallery, and the British Glass Biennale to name a few.
