About

Digitalised Pastry started as the Bachelor’s project of Moana Sofia Sidoti and builds now the foundation of her independent work in digital ceramic design.
She is currently establishing her first studio in Berlin, where she continues to develop her innovative fusion of traditional craftsmanship and digital fabrication. This project digitalises manual techniques, processes, and the aesthetics of the pastry world, translating them into porcelain. By developing custom adapters and nozzles for the ceramic printer, Moana unlocks new possibilities for creative ceramic design.
Her work is characterized by two key innovations: multi-colour extrusion and the unique texture of the extruded material strand. The interplay of colour and texture gives these objects their confectionery-like appearance, an homage to ephemeral moments of indulgence, now preserved in ceramic form for eternity.
Digitalised Pastry expands the boundaries of ceramic 3D printing, merging technology with artisanal sensibility to create new aesthetic expressions.
