About

Myrna Mitchell is a London-based ceramic artist whose work explores human connection and the narratives that unfold between us. Rooted in storytelling traditions and the expressive potential of the human figure, her pieces inhabit a space that feels both ancient and contemporary.

Using traditional hand-building techniques, Mitchell works slowly and intuitively, allowing time, touch, and repetition to guide each form. Whether creating pots, organic sculptures, or figurative works, her practice consistently returns to the human body as a site of memory, presence and meaning.

Myrna holds a First-Class BA (Hons) in Creative Arts Practice from Bath Spa University, where she received the Creative Arts Practice Outstanding Achievement Award in 2022. She is a maker at Cockpit Arts Bloomsbury.

Her recent exhibitions include the British Ceramics Biennial 2025 in Stoke-on-Trent as a Fresh Selected Artist and the 2025 John Ruskin Prize Exhibition at Trinity Buoy Wharf.
