About
NIKOLO BERTOK is an internationally recognised fashion designer, a Middlesex University graduate, and currently based in London at Oxo Tower Wharf. His eponymous brand established in 2010 was re-introduced in 2024 after almost 20 years of designing, tailoring, making capsule and limited-edition demi-couture, ready-to-wear, and home textile collections.
Inspired by the city itself, early tailoring experience and an archive of his designed strong silhouettes, he creates modern classics with his very own signature, carefully designed and curated every season. His brand embodies a commitment to luxurious design, ensuring each piece it creates is not only unique but also a true reflection of the wearer itself.
NIKOLO BERTOK has achieved success in fashion design over the years with his innovative designs, incorporating unconventional, unfinished silhouettes and raw finishes on couture pieces, as well as the incorporation of technology into his garments in his 2010 collection at London Fashion Week, later commissioned to exhibit at London Art Fair. Earlier works and a debut show in 2005 took place in the electro-urban underground Soniclub, where he displayed his first 30 pieces collection, influenced by 90’s subculture.
This was followed in 2008 by a dramatic couture collection called “Butterflies” shown in New York, London and Brighton Fashion Week. His 2011 ‘Identity’ collection made a significant contribution to his signature style and his passion for tailoring and sustainable fashion, which culminated in more exciting collections, “MacroCosmica-Heaven”, in 2014 and ‘Dancing in the Waters’ in 2017.
Having spent most of the last few years working on bespoke commissions in his Atelier, Nikolo continues to focus on his demi-couture pieces in his Oxo Tower Wharf studio featuring seasonal apparel using sustainable fabrics.
