Sharma Yoyo is a Yi fashion and craft designer and a recognised inheritor of Yi traditional dress. She is the founder of YiRenZaowu, a long-term Yi folk craft preservation and design project, and initiated its free Yi-language classes. For over a decade, she has focused on the transmission and contemporary development of Yi handicrafts, reinvesting most of the project’s profits back into sustainable craft livelihoods in Liangshan.
