Born in Athens, Sotis studied Art & Design, specialising in ceramics at the Athens School of Ceramics and later at Harrow College of Art. In 1997 he opened his first studio on King’s road and in 2010 moved to Oxo Tower Wharf. In 2012 his work had been represented at the Royal Academy during the Bronze exhibition and in 2013 he had also demonstrated at the British Museum during the Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibition. In December 2019 he held a demonstration at Tate Modern.
He participates yearly in Decorex, London; Maison Object, Paris; Index, Dubai and collaborates with established designers such as Eskandar, David Linley, Candy & Candy, Richmond International, Nickolas Haslam and Linda Burgh amongst others. His work can be found at fashionable design shops such as Tate Edit and ABC New York. In 2020 he completed a commission installation at MGM resort casino Las Vegas. Ceramic works and installations by Sotis belong to international Royal private collections and influential households such as: Chatsworth House, the Britannia Cruise Boat, the Royal Collection of Abu Dhabi and the residence of the Princess of Saudi Arabia in London.
