About
Susi’s work is inspired by growth and transformation in nature, expressed through a distinctive visual language of pattern and rhythm. Her ‘Acini’ collection stems from the growth of seeds, found in clusters such as peppers and sunflowers, translated into intricate, tactile forms. Developed through drawing, design and model-making, her pieces explore pattern, disruptive surfaces and movement, combining ethically sourced gold, silver and gemstones. Subtle gradations of colour are built across the surface, allowing each element to articulate and catch the light.
Trained as an apprentice in Mayfair after art school, Susi works primarily by hand, using traditional bench skills alongside fine welding techniques to create complex, small-scale forms. She is a member of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery and a Freeman of the Goldsmiths’ Company.
Exhibiting at FORGE as part of The Secret Garden Showcase, 1 May – 1 June.
