About
Edward Barnsley (1900-1987) was one of the most important British furniture makers of the 20th Century, and a key figure in the Arts & Crafts Movement. The Edward Barnsley Workshop has been making furniture since 1923, and is set in idyllic surroundings in rural Hampshire, high on a ridge overlooking beech and yew woods with magnificent views to the South Downs.
Crucial to the continued success of the workshop, remaining true to its founder yet with a contemporary outlook, is the trust, and apprenticeship programmes.
