About
Opened in 2011 by Director Ryoko Mutasono, wagumi is a place to find craft and design from Japan.
Stocking the work of regional producers, individual artists, design collaborations and not for profits, wagumi highlights the variety and fun to be found in things made in Japan. The result is a flawless showcase of craftsmanship and design, symbolising the essence of Japanese spirit.
This year for London Craft Week at Oxo Tower Tower Wharf, wagumi will offer workshops in kokedama moss balls. Somewhat related to bonsai, the practice of wrapping plants in a sphere of moss is relaxing in its process and satisfying in its results. The workshops offer the chance to acquire the skills of kokedama creation, and to take one home after the session.
Attendees can choose a plant from a selection of Ferns and Succulents, and wagumi will also give information on how to care for them.
