About

The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers is one of the ancient Livery Companies of the City of London, formed to represent the craft of plastering. Granted its Royal Charter in 1501, the Company has played a long-standing role in setting standards, sharing knowledge and encouraging skill in plastering and related trades. Today it brings together craftspeople and professionals who care about plastering and the skills behind it.

The Company actively supports education and training through awards, bursaries, and prizes for those within the trade. It also promotes awareness of plastering through events and partnerships with heritage and craft organisations.

As part of London Craft Week, the Company is pleased to open its stunning Plaisterers’ Hall, close to St Paul’s, for a free public event. This celebration of the craft features live demonstrations and meetings with skilled craftspeople, showcasing everything from decorative sculpture to traditional lime work and pargeting.
