Yve Chan has extensive experience in the jewellery industry, including product development for jewellery brands, handcrafted jewellery and tin utensils, and teaching jewellery knowledge.
After graduating with a degree in marketing and with a background in advertising, Yve’s passion for craftsmanship prompted him to pursue further studies in jewellery and silversmithing at Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom. Later, he obtained his certification as a GIA graduate gemologist in the United States. During his time in the UK, his work had received the Assay Office London Technology Award from The Goldsmiths’ Company and International Jewellery London Special Award for Fine Jewellery. Upon returning to Hong Kong, Yve worked in product development for fine jewellery. His pieces have been exhibited at the Baselworld Exhibition.
With his jewellery creations, Yve Chan continues to weave together the old and the new, bridging different cultures. Lately, he has organised craft workshops at Dawn Jewellery, sharing his passion for raising and sinking with his students.
