As the seasons change and autumn arrives, we would like to invite you as friend of the business to an exclusive Autumn Shop Preview and launch of our new series; ‘A Maker’s Hand’.

Meet and greet Freya Bramble Carter 2pm to 4pm on Thursday 7 October.

We have collaborated with unique British makers to join our series, spotlighting homegrown talent and recognising the exceptional creativity of UK artisans.

The series follows the success of our collaboration with ceramicist Jacqueline Leighton Boyce, whose terracotta plates and vases painted with scenes from the British countryside showcased the extraordinary craftsmanship to be found in the UK.

Makers including Freya Bramble Carter, Katrin Moye and Lin Lovekin are collaborating on handmade items to be stocked at Petersham Nurseries in Richmond, and each artisan featured in ‘A Maker’s Hand’ shares the nurseries’ ethos of conscious living and beauty in simplicity.

FREYA BRAMBLE CARTER
Freya Bramble Carter is a ceramics artist based in London who creates thoughtfully crafted pieces with a strong connection to the natural world, often finding their form representative of powerful feminine energy. Freya studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts but has been working with clay since she was a child, firing pots in her father’s studio. Having always felt a strong physical connection to the clay she works with, Freya believes in creating pieces with soul which inspire and become a source of energy in the home, and is determined to bring a piece of the craft into the homes of others.

Please note parking is restricted in the surrounding area and we encourage our visitors to travel via alternative means of transport whenever possible.

There is no dress code however in these wetter months we recommend suitable footwear (even wellies!).
