Cox London has created a new film following the journey of ‘The Voyager’s Chair’, a unique bronze piece on display in their showroom throughout London Craft Week. An accompanying exhibition by award-winning photographer Alun Callender celebrates the hands that shape Cox London creations.

The Voyager’s Chair is an exemplar of the nature at work within a signature piece: polished ripples of cast bronze speak of ocean swells, the abstract embroidered seat a nod to the primitive stick charts of early Micronesian navigators. Nicola Cox says, ‘to sit in the Voyager’s chair is perhaps to meditate on broader horizons.’

‘The Hands of the Creator’ is an exhibition of images by award-winning photographer Alun Callender. It is both an homage to the people behind Cox London, whose individual craft illuminates these remarkable pieces, and a celebration of the original human tools of craft.
