A fraternity of world-class craftspeople, artisans, curators and makers, the Pimlico Road Design District is the apex of inspiring design and best-in-class interiors. From sculptors to woodworkers, embroidery to antiques, textiles to crystals, Pimlico Road is a melting pot and meeting place for craft and design.
Pimlico Road is unique in that not only will you find the eponymous brands of world-renowned designers on the street, but also the designers themselves, resulting in a creative neighbourhood where every shop window tells a different story of style, inspiration and exceptional craft. The Pimlico Road Series for London Craft Week features inspiring talks and panels, interactive workshops and fascinating demonstrations with the makers themselves.
The Art of Plaster: An Exhibition of New Work by Geoffrey Preston
The Art of Plaster includes a collection of recent work with an emphasis on flower sculpture. Geoffrey has found a rich seam of inspiration in the modelling of flowers and leaves in 18th century plasterwork and their representation in other decorative arts, from the flowers of chintz textiles to the painting of Sevres and Nymphenburg porcelain. The sculptures in the exhibition explore flower forms in all their wonderful variety and are boldly and expressively modelled. The exhibition also includes objects specially created in collaboration with the Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler interior decorators. Alongside, a display of tools and materials demonstrate the processes and techniques involved, and sketchbooks and photographs show work in progress. All the works in the exhibition are for sale. Cox London presents Hands of the Creator and The Voyager’s Chair
Cox London has created a new film following the journey of ‘The Voyager’s Chair’, a unique bronze piece on display in their showroom throughout London Craft Week. Founded by Creative Director, Gemma Martinez de Ana, Bonadea is an emporium and ode to the artistry and craft that goes into creating fine tableware, objet d’art and accessories for the home. New to the Pimlico Road, the boutique is described as one of the best new stores in London, its jewellery box-like, entirely bespoke interiors create a treasure trove of hidden details and vignettes to discover. Daylesford and the Craft of Harvest: A Celebration of Nature’s Feast
Join Daylesford Organic Pimlico for a series of workshops and events that explore the traditional crafts of harvest. A showcase of artisan skills which celebrate food, floristry and homeware, from wreath making with hops and corn husks, to working with the gentle nature of seeds, to a celebration of cider making and fermenting. Design Salon: Playing with Jewels by Jane Lunzer at Linley
Join Jane Lunzer in the beautiful showrooms of LINLEY BELGRAVIA to discover how a piece of jewellery needing rejuvenation can be transformed into a contemporary and beautiful masterpiece. By taking gems that have previously been set in an outdated style, Jane uses her training, practical knowledge and imagination to re-house them as new creations, sometimes supplementing with additional stones to complete the new look. de Le Cuona Showcases a new collaboration with the Edward Barnsley Workshop
The Edward Barnsley Workshop presents a new Easy Chair design developed in association with Bernie de Le Cuona. The chair is on display in the de Le Cuona showroom at 44 Pimlico Road for London Craft Week. James Ryan, designer at the Edward Barnsley Workshop, created the new chair by innovating new jointing techniques, while textile specialist Bernie de Le Cuona selected the robust Attenborough wool linen fabric from her new Studio range, bringing her knowledge of linens and natural textiles to ensure a new approach to this historic collaboration. Isabel Spearman’s cult Instagram account becomes reality at the Daily Dress Edit pop-up in Belgravia, featuring exclusive dresses from home-grown designers. Home Botanicals: How Flowers Have Been Used to Decorate, Heal and Nourish at Chelsea Textiles
Chelsea Textiles hosts a talk and cocktail evening with textile designer Neisha Crosland and Museum of Home curator Danielle Patten.
Plants are central to keeping our homes healthy and beautiful – for centuries, herbs and flowers have been used in domestic life to clean, nourish, heal and decorate. For this special London Craft Week event, Neisha has put together a group of hand-painted artworks that have inspired her fabrics, wallpapers, tiles, carpets and much of the embroideries that she has created with Chelsea Textiles. Ochre Wild: The Making of a New Collection
All Ochre Wild rugs are made entirely by hand, from the yarn-making and dying to the intricate weaving, through to the finishing. They use the same rich variety of fibres and natural dyes for both their Indo-Tibetan and flat-weave Dhurrie rugs. See their open house times and more information here.

Sculpting, Pattern Making and Traditional Metal Casting with Collier Webb
Join Adam and the Collier Webb team at their Pimlico Road showroom from 10am to 4pm, Thursday 7 October. Collier Webb has been casting metal at their South Coast foundry for over 40 years. From hand-sculpted patterns to traditional metal casting, their master craftsman Adam Pattison demonstrates the intricate techniques used to create the brand’s new handcrafted cordless lamp, the Mini Messenger Palm.
