Adire Cloth Masterclass with Abiola Onabule at The V&A Museum

Abiola Onabule shares the techniques and meanings ingrained into adire cloth made by Yoruba dyers in South Western Nigeria. As well as learning the practical techniques, participants have the opportunity to hear more about Nigerian textile heritage, discussing ideas around cultural narratives woven within cloth.

Drawing on their vast collections, join the V&A as they celebrate craftsmanship and storytelling during London Craft Week.

On Sunday 10 October, Abiola Onabule shares the techniques and meanings ingrained into adire cloth made by Yoruba dyers in South Western Nigeria. As well as learning the practical techniques, participants have the opportunity to hear more about Nigerian textile heritage, discussing ideas around cultural narratives woven within cloth.
