The Korea Association of Art and Design is one of the oldest academic associations in Korea. Its specialist members focus on theoretical approaches and writing theses as a way of broadening the academic aspects of craft and design. Joined by the V&A’s curator of Korean art, they present an online talk on Korean crafts and their status within the international scene. The talk focuses on both makers and theorists, many of whom have been finalists in the Loewe Craft Prize.

Coincidentally, London Craft Week takes place at a similar time to Craft Week in Korea. The Korea Association of Art and Design hopes that a stronger bond between the two cultures and the two craft weeks can be established through this initiative.
