AWAD is pleased to host AWAD members, Cynthia Corbett of the Cynthia Corbett Gallery and Varuna Kollanethu of Ruup & Form in conversation with makers: Freya Bramble-Carter, Emilie Taylor, Rachael Colley and Bridget Harvey.
The talk will be moderated by Preston Fitzgerald.
The conversation will feature two incredible ceramic women artists: Emilie Taylor, who creates large scale ceramics using heritage craft processes, particularly traditional slipware, to interpret an d represent post-industrial landscapes, and Freya Bramble-Carter, whose colourful artworks are strongly inspired by the ethos of beauty and nature. Ruup & Form artists Rachael Colley and Bridget Harvey will also join the conversation. Bridget is creating an installation of brooches made from broken ceramic fragments and Rachael will be presenting a series of Sha-green wearable brooches, necklaces and rings.
