Contemporary artisan Jinno Neko reveals the craftsmanship behind her pieces, which combine bamboo strips, tissue paper and water-marbled textiles. She demonstrates four basic bamboo crafting and papier-mâché techniques: the binding of bamboo strips, paper-mounting, painting and assembling.

During the demonstration, Jinno Neko swill also share her stories as a bamboo artisan and the folklore, culture and rituals surrounding bamboo in Hong Kong.
