The Embassy of Portugal presents ‘Craft – Now’
AICEP, in collaboration with the AID and with the support of Portugal Manual, presents ‘Craft – Now’, an exhibition spotlighting 20 different Portuguese brands. Traditions are showcased by artisans who, through design and renewed production techniques, combine heritage with imagination, reinventing concepts with a contemporary, cosmopolitan slant.

Explore the work of 20 Portuguese brands in Craft – Now, an exhibition focusing on Portuguese tradition and craftsmanship. The selected brands showcase and combine handmade production with the disruptive creativity of new artisans, fusing manual traditions with imagination and reinventing age-old concepts through contemporary eyes.
Handicrafts are changing all throughout Portugal: from weaving to fashion, stone and wood carving to ceramics, furniture to jewellery. These and many other traditional activities are being reinvented with new methods, individual and national charisma and, above all, lots of passion.
