About
Craftmasters collaborates with Connolly England to showcase a selection of the best of British silversmithing with an in-store exhibition and live demonstrations by three award-winning makers at their Clifford Street store.
These makers use heritage skills, passed down for centuries, to create exquisite, functional and modern objects for the home – heirlooms of the future. The demonstrations include chasing with Cornish silversmith Alex O’Connor; hand engraving with Annabel Hood; and Japanese dot inlay (hira zougan) with master silversmith Wayne Meeten.
Join them in-store at the bench to see these rare skills in action and talk to the makers as well as viewing a selection of handmade objects from the gallery’s 30 award-winning British silversmiths. A wide variety of contemporary silverware, both functional and sculptural, from makers across the length and breadth of Britain is on show.
Craftmasters Gallery is a not-for-profit which channels all profits into its technical training scheme, providing early career makers with high quality, hands-on skills training with master silversmiths. They help to ensure these culturally important skills are maintained for generations to come.
