Oliver Spencer Studio presents an exhibition of Dharma Taylor’s latest additions to her expanding collection of work, including handwoven rugs, furniture and small wooden sculptures.

Set within the Oliver Spencer Studio, the store is a celebration of things that inspire Oliver to design and develop his collections each season and an extension of the things he appreciates in the day-to-day.

“This is a great opportunity to bring new energy in to the Oliver Spencer store, and I’m keen to present something disruptive that differs from the norm in the form of my solid oak ‘LightBeam’ sculptures. These hand crafted woodwork sculptures depicted from my large scale ‘LightBeam’ rug stem from my multidisciplinary way of working. Originally inspired to work with wood in memory of my great grandfather who was a self taught carpenter from Liverpool based in Nottinghamshire I approach my work and projects with a why-not attitude as I wanted to create something that isn’t expected of me in keeping with Oliver’s self taught ethos and way of working”. — Dharma Taylor
