About
Heath’s journey into traditional craft represents a beautiful convergence of contemporary fashion training and heritage preservation. A fashion design graduate from LASALLE College of the Arts, Heath initially worked alongside established local designers, gaining valuable experience in Singapore’s dynamic fashion landscape.
However, his true calling emerged when he discovered the intricate world of traditional Kebaya embriodery. Captivated by the delicate artistry and cultural significance of this craft, Heath made a pivotal decision to dedicate himself to mastering Sulam, the fine embroidery technique that adorns the iconic Kebaya garment.
Under the tutelage of a renowned Singapore Kebaya maker, Heath immersed himself in learning this meticulous craft, understanding not only the technical aspects but also the cultural heritage embedded within each stitch.
