About

My work currently centres on reliquaries within contemporary silversmithing. I make boxes that respond to personal mementos and ancient Scottish artefacts, creating precious homes for objects that carry meaning. I am drawn to boxes as a medium, perhaps due to my love for collecting little tokens to anchor moments. There’s something about the mystery of what they might contain, and the element of discovery that captures my interest. I hope to extend that same sense of curiosity to the viewer. My designs are characterised by heavy hand-forged wire, delicate coils, and contrasting surfaces, which I create through patination and texture. I am passionate about honouring the wealth of historical Scottish silver while remaining playful in my approach.
