About

Timothy Copsey draws inspiration from the Pennine landscape and seasons, which serve as the backdrop to all his work. He creates pottery that exists on the border between function and sculpture, crafting vases, bowls, bottles, and cups that he considers as mere ‘Serving Suggestions’. Described as beautifully ugly, he aims for his work to be playful and sometimes surprising, even jarring, yet ultimately resonant of their materiality and the landscape from which they derive.
