About

Nina Campbell collaborates with Helen Chislett Gallery, highlighting a curated selection of globally acclaimed artisans and makers. This unique partnership, running throughout London Craft Week 2024, unites creativity and craftsmanship at Nina Campbell’s flagship store in Newson’s Yard on Pimlico Road.

Renowned as both a writer and gallerist, Helen Chislett established her online gallery to connect artisans with clients seeking extraordinary pieces, promote talented artists, and advocate the preservation of artisanal skills. Helen Chislett Gallery has curated a series of works from prominent makers, each known for pushing the boundaries of their respective mediums.

Artisans include master quiltmaker and founder of Pemberton Qwilts Emily Campbell; architectural sculptor Geoffrey Preston MBE, who specialises in the historic skill of modelled plasterwork; and contemporary furniture master Tom Vaughan of Object Studio, who seamlessly fuses sculptural aesthetics with functional design in his bespoke creations. They are joined by Michèle Oberdieck, who uses both blown and hot glass to create her fantastic array of sculpted vessels; sculptor Lucille Lewin, whose ceramic art explores the collision between nature and humanity; and silver artist Wayne Meeten, who is a Master of Japanese techniques such as mokume gane and shibori. Completing this impressive line-up are Master embroiderer Jacky Puzey, whose signature pieces use lavish textiles and a combination of techniques and renowned textile artist Aiveen Daly, whose delicate artworks have an ethereal quality.

Wayne Meeten will be demonstrating silverworking techniques, and Emily Campbell will be sewing her quilts in store throughout the week. Please refer to the booking information above for details.
