About

French Craft Collective is an exclusive one-day event dedicated to high-end design, curated by Business France.

It gives British specifiers (architects, interior designers) and journalists the opportunity to discover 11 hand-picked French craftspeople, renowned for their know-how, techniques and unique expertise. Highly specialised in private residential and commercial design projects, the makers give a glimpse of their creations, bringing selected pieces for you to see.

Proceedings take place around ‘Rendez-vous with the Makers’ sessions, where artisans have a series of short pre-booked meetings with members of the UK design community to present their craft and discuss ideas for collaboration. There is also time for flexible drop-in sessions, and a panel discussion with leading names from design.

The event showcases the skills of the following 11 exceptional makers working in France:

– Art et Floritude: Custom lighting

– Ateliers Hervé Baume: Wrought iron work

– Camille Piaton: Craft furniture design and leather weaving

– Gauthier & Cie: Window dressing

– La Cornue: Bespoke cookers and cabinetry

– Maîtres Robinetiers de France: Bathroom fittings and accessories

– Mark Collett: Steam-bent oak light sculptures

– Meljac: Luxury electrical fittings and accessories

– Nadège Mouyssinat: Porcelain sculptures

– Schutt Grande Forge: High-end iron work

A space for learning, networking, sharing ideas and discovering opportunities for future collaborations on design projects, the French Craft Collective is where the UK and French design scenes meet.
